Chateau Renault

Property was beautiful.

clean, large rooms. However, even when we put out the service request on the doorknob, nobody came in, The room furniture was ugly, dark gray shapeless commode and night stands that didn't match the smaller table with the coffee maker(that didn't work) the standing lamp and the small table didn't match anything in the room. as well as the blue chair in yet another style didn't match anything at all. there were no pictures on the wall, just white walls. All in all the room looked drab. Don't know what kind of interior decorator they used(if any), but thumbs down. The little pools were nice to cool of.

We did not have breakfast there. What I liked about the Chateau Renault was the friendliness and knowledge of the staff. The feeling of tranquility that you got as you walked around the property, and the attractive and creative landscaping e.g using wine barrels for sculptures. I will be back to do a tour of the winery and wine tasting.

The hotel was great, room was huge and clean. The bed was comfy. So my star review is for hotel not winery
